THE ROLE

As a Sr. Graphic Designer, you will establish and expand Solsten as a world-class brand. Partnering with our Head of Design and VP of Marketing, your focus will be to create stunning designs that express the brand through client and public-facing communications. This includes marketing communications, our website, events, social media, and internal materials. Your day-to-day focuses will balance developing concepts, and systems for scale, and executing designs to completion.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Core responsibility — Define Solsten’s brand expression and establish it across all touch points (public, client, and internal).
  • Create — Energize Solsten with creativity and craft at every touchpoint.
  • Brand — Synthesize and express the brand in shape, color, typography, layout, motion, etc.
  • Systems — Establish styles and systems needed to coherently scale brand expression.
  • Scale — Empower teams with easy-to-use templates for repeated-use collateral.
  • Focus and prioritize — Clarify the user, business, and team needs for each design challenge. Proactively prioritize, set goals, and align with stakeholders.
  • Execute — Design concepts, seek feedback, and execute revisions through to completion.
  • Collaborate — Build relationships with other teams to learn and align on effective designs.
  • Art direction — Create structure and provide direction for illustrators and agencies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Brand design — Experience creating beautiful brands and the systems to help them scale.
  • Portfolio — Showcase passion for stunning aesthetics and design problem solving abilities.
  • Tools — Expert in Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and motion design tools.
  • Communication — Excellent ability to explain design decisions in words and writing.
  • Critique — Actively seek, interpret, and implement feedback into your design work.
  • Growth — Active appreciation and learning in the world of design is part of your life.
  • Education — Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience-  A minimum of 6+ years.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK 

Our team is spread out across the world, with hubs in Berlin, Helsinki, New York, and Minneapolis. We believe that having our team close to one another fosters better communication and productivity. This role requires you to be based in Minneapolis, MN where you will have an exciting and flexible hybrid working environment. This means that you will have the opportunity to work both remotely and with colleagues in the office, allowing you to create an ideal working schedule and balance.
