*this job is remote eligible, but preferred to be Durham, NC local / hybrid for occasional office presence.

The Sr. Graphic Designer role sits on the creative & brand team and within the corporate marketing department.

With a newly established brand, the Wolfspeed creative team is looking for a multi-disciplinary designer to support the development and activation of our brand via brand assets (iconography, custom photography & illustrations), digital experiences, and brand campaigns. Reporting to the creative director, this experienced designer will also lead and execute digital, print and environmental design projects in collaboration with internal and external partners. The Wolfspeed corporate marketing team is committed to delivering experiences that inspire brand trust, confidence, and preference. We're transforming our marketing and engagement operations to be personalized, data-driven, creatively focused and built to drive growth.

The Day-to-Day:
  • Continue to develop our visual brand system with iconography, guides, illustrations and photography
  • Translate marketing and campaign strategies into compelling creative assets
  • Concept, develop, and deliver modern visual strategy solutions and thoughtful brand expressions for print and digital communications
  • Effectively articulate and pitch design concepts to internal clients, leadership and marketing department
  • Translate data-driven insights into improved brand experiences
  • Support external creative partners and internal content owners with art direction, approvals and design feedback
  • Mentor and support junior designer with art direction, design skills and feedback
  • Contribute to content creation in collaboration with writers, producers, and engagement in Wolfspeed community
  • Manage time effectively and set stakeholder expectation while working on multiple projects
  • Advocate for design thinking principles and approach
  • Support Wolfspeed's digital asset management system (Brandfolder)


This job is right for you if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Graphic Design, or equivalent design-related field and experience
  • 6+ years of creative experience across a combination of agency, freelance or in-house
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating with excellence in design, branding systems, typography, art direction, digital (UX/UI, motion graphics), and identity
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Ability to quickly pivot and adapt to an evolving environment
  • Solid mastery of Adobe CC products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects), and experience with Microsoft Suite


Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience developing brand visual systems
  • Ability to facilitate project brainstorming, develop creative briefs, deliver design feedback and lead project team to meet established goals
  • Experience working on omni-channel marketing campaigns
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles and approach
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior designers
  • Data visualization, UI/UX, animation and video experience are a plus
