Summary:

Our team protects our customers from the most advanced threats affecting the automotive industry. Aptiv's Cybersecurity team breaks the mold of traditional internal security and focuses on active threats to our products. Product Governance and Innovation is a growing team within our Product Cybersecurity team working to develop, implement, and maintain a cybersecurity management system (CSMS). As a member of the CTO team you will lead other product cybersecurity teams and will be responsible for the development and enforcement of our cybersecurity policies, processes, procedures, and training. You will lead the monitoring and enforcement of the cybersecurity rules and polices governing our product cybersecurity global organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Development and maintenance of cybersecurity processes and best practices that comply to current and upcoming standards, regulations, and policies
  • Assist in the creation of a strong cybersecurity culture, cybersecurity awareness, and training, including communicating processes, policy concepts, regulations, and standards to non-technical and non-cybersecurity personnel
  • Maintain communication and coordination with other cybersecurity teams and other disciplines, such as Functional Safety and Privacy
  • Maintain awareness of current and upcoming standards, regulations, and policies that may impact vehicle cybersecurity
  • Represent Aptiv in external organizations on the development and review of new standards
  • Participate in special assignments that benefit Governance, Risk, & Compliance or cybersecurity throughout Aptiv
  • Monitoring the implementation of cybersecurity in Aptiv products, including:
  • Tracking program progress for cybersecurity,
  • Ensuring compliance to Standards, Regulations, and Aptiv cybersecurity processes such as leading or participating in audits and assessments
  • Identification of cybersecurity issues and gaps,
  • Tracking cybersecurity corrective actions, and
  • Prioritization and escalation of programs with cybersecurity risks.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in project management
  • Experience working in the automotive industry with knowledge of and experience with ISO/SAE 21434, UN ECE R155, and related regulations and standards
  • Knowledge or experience in managing the entire secure design lifecycle (SDLC) from the pursuit of new business through the concept, development, and validation phases, and through launch, production, and end of service
  • 3+ years' experience involving regulations, risk management, and/or similar activities
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate and present complex issues and ideas with precision and clarity, adjusting appropriately for the audience; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 8+ years' experience in Project Management
  • PMP, Agile, ASPICE Certifications
  • Experience supporting & managing vulnerability and incident management activities
  • Knowledge of common risk assessment methodologies.
  • Familiar with cybersecurity mitigations (encryption, certificate management, TLS, wireless communication protection, firewalls, secure boot, etc.)
  • Experience configuring and fluent with POSIX based OS(s) e.g. Linux, QNX, etc.
