Senior Growth Engineer - Customer Experience Org

Vendia’s Customer Experience (CX) engineering organization is seeking a Senior Growth Engineer to introduce new data driven solutions, processes and customer facing features to support Vendia’s growth efforts. 

Vendia’s CX organization focuses on how customers interact with Vendia. Our teams are responsible for the console web experience, APIs, client SDKs and CLI, as well as full stack software that enables multiple roadmaps, including the enterprise experience, integrations, messaging, billing, and more. 

This role will supercharge a cross-functional team of Marketing, Product and Solution Architect and Software Engineers. You’ll be responsible for tools to drive Vendia’s website content & experience, social presence, and marketing data management. Your engineering excellence will help test out new ideas and build tooling to drive the acquisition, onboarding, and engagement of the Vendia customer experience. You’ll also design and build architectures that connect our marketing team with external customers, enabling data driven reporting, statistics, and recommendations.

• Leading Vendia’s Marketing & Technology (MarTech) roadmap and engineering architecture. This includes collaborating with existing teams to design, build, test, and operate Vendia tooling for marketing automation and data collection. 
• Integrate third-party APIs and tools, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Content Management Systems (CMS), and Reporting.
• Implementing MarTech best practices, using the AARRR framework (Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, and Revenue).
• Contributing to engineering best practices, including automation, CI/CD workflows, testing and quality controls, security, performance optimization, and more.
• Take part in team activities such as sprint ceremonies and code reviews.

• 5+ years of full stack software engineering (e.g., building scalable web applications with back-end systems work) with direct operational responsibility (oncall experience), preferably on a public cloud service.
• 3+ years of Growth Engineering experience (e.g., AARRR metrics, data science)
• Teaching-level mastery in at least one of the following languages: Node / TypeScript, Rust, Python, Java, Go.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB), Serverless AWS Services (e.g. AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Cognito) or equivalent on Azure, GCP.
• Experienced with industry best practices, including testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and OpEx.
• Ability to plan projects, communicate status and deliver results while keeping high quality standards.
• 4 year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math. 
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

• Prior experience at a startup or similar fast-paced environment, ideally with cloud-based applications, infrastructure services, and/or enterprise SaaS offerings.
• Polyglot language experience that includes Python, Node/JavaScript, Go, and Rust.
• Experience working with multiple clouds, including two or more of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Masters, PhD, or other advanced academic degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, or related areas.
• Transparent work products, such as GitHub commits to a well-known open source project.
• Willingness to engage in public speaking/events and perform customer demonstrations and training.
