Job Description

The Sensing, Safety and Industrial Components Business develops smart sensors, motor controllers, and connectivity solutions to work within the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture. We truly believe we are doing things never before possible. And we need the brightest minds to help make that happen - the makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers. As the Senior Hardware Product Development Engineer, you will based out of Chelmsford, MA. Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to new product development of embedded communication and control modules from concept through production
  • Responsible for conceptualization and design, along with support for qualifying new products
  • Implementation and characterization of sensing and safety hardware
  • Create technical requirements; design, optimize, and validate devices electrically and functionally
  • Determine design approaches; define engineering tests to support design and production

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience with embedded microprocessor design, schematic entry, pcb layout, electronic circuit simulation, prototyping board bring-up, and product validation activities
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware design
  • Perform root cause analysis for analog and digital circuit.
  • Familiarity with Mentor Designer/Expedition, EMC testing.
  • Experience with writing and completing hardware and system test specifications
