Senior HR Business Partner
Job Description
SUMMARY:
Lockton Affinity, located in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead its Human Resources team. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for partnering with the business leaders to align HR strategies and support the organization's goals, objectives and culture. This position will oversee the people recruitment, training and development initiatives, along with managing the reception and building facility operations for the company. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing expert consultation to managers on HR related matters, drive associate engagement initiatives and handle complex associate relations issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Work with senior leaders to develop and then execute strategic goals for the business.• Develop and maintain highly effective relationships with business leaders.• Organize HR events and initiatives for Lockton Affinity Associates.• Lead and oversee Associate relations issues.• Lead Lockton Affinity's DEI strategy.• Plan, lead and coordinate Associate and manager training exercises that includes leadership and soft skill training.• Responsible for coordinating Lockton Affinity's annual performance review process.• Help resolve payroll and/or benefit related matters for Associates.• Provide regular industry and geographic benchmarking data to business leaders to ensure Lockton Affinity remains a best-in-class employer.• Manage the building facility and reception teams at Lockton Affinity.• Partner with or lead various internal people committees on current initiatives. • Responsible for creating and managing to the annual budget set for the HR, building facility and reception departments.• Other miscellaneous duties as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent Human Resources experience.• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or HR leadership role.• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.• 3+ years of supervisory experience leading others.• Experience at building effective relationships, credibility and rapport with business partners and leaders in a corporate setting.• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.• Ability to work independently or in a group setting.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Strong ability to be flexible and adapt to constant changing work demands.• Proficient user with Microsoft Products to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
