This person will be responsible for three major areas: People operations, People process improvement, and consulting with internal stakeholders such as employees and managers to ensure an understanding of the People policies and practices and ensuring a positive employee experience.

More about the role:

The Sr. HR Coordinator will report directly to our Head of People. Collaborating daily with team members from all teams across the organization they will work to ensure that the organization’s HR policies, processes, and practices are as efficient and high-performing as possible. This could include (but not limited to):

  • Improve and optimize HR processes based on research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and reporting
  • Serves as the HR systems expert and liaison between IT, payroll, and other teams to address issues, questions, and needs
  • Educate employees and advise on the application of HR policies
  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
  • Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires
  • Maintain records of people-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates, etc.) in the applicable platform and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Work alongside the payroll professional overseeing benefits deductions, benefits enrollment, and terminations
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects

Background and skills of the Sr. HR Coordinator:

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role or HR function including experience as administrator, user, or superuser of an HRIS platform (e.g. setting up workflows)
  • Experience improving workflows in HRIS: has the ability and experience to jump in and enhance performance and make the employee experience better 
  • Experience collaborating with teams across the organization and applying a love for process improvement and HR data management
  • Skilled critical thinker who loves problem solving
  • Broad knowledge of the Human Resources function
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR operations
  • Tech-savvy: familiar using HR software and tools and not afraid to get hands dirty in the technology to solve a problem, optimize a process, or gain insights
  • Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with stakeholders effectively and document process
  • Due to our stage of growth, this role requires the type of person who loves applying structure to an organization, but also thrives in an unstructured environment

Location:

We are looking for someone that is regionally located near our Cincinnati location. Although you can work remotely most of the time, we would love to have someone within driving distance to come in for brainstorming and strategy sessions. Therefore, travel into Cincinnati is required once a quarter. If you are close enough to commute, you are more than welcome to report on-site at our Cincinnati office whenever you would like—we have free lunch every day (yum) and an amazing location right across from Summit Park!
