Job Overview

The Senior HR Continuous Improvement Specialist role is both a hands-on and strategic role that provides project leadership and support to Human Resources Operations teams. This role is critical in executing project initiatives, managing change, driving HR operational excellence, process improvement and providing superior Service delivery. This role combines the blended skillset of an HR Business Partner and Project Manager, to consult and manage process improvement initiatives from original concept through successful change management and final implementation. With management support, this role will be a driving presence to lead, encourage, and motivate change in the Service delivery area.

What will you do?

Analyze operational efficiency and employee experience to identify improvement opportunities:

    • Gather information from a variety of sources; to analyze, interpret, and summarize data gathered, to identify trends and deliver insights
    • Clearly define a problem statement, assessing current state from various points of view
    • Use 'end to end' thinking and problem-solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved
    • Identify root cause(s) of problem(s) and improvement opportunities
    • Develop and gain alignment on vision for future state
    • Design, test, and implement leading to desired outcomes tied to business results

Lead process improvement initiatives:

    • Develop project plans in collaboration with stakeholders to execute HR process improvement projects, distributes work among team members, sets expectations, and relentlessly drives to deliver projects with excellence, on time and on budget
    • Monitor project milestone completion; identifies process and operational roadblocks; owns and consults solution development with stakeholders, and escalates critical decisions to reach alignment
    • Works collaboratively with HR and cross functional team members to deliver a cohesive and integrated solution
    • Develops effective change management strategies to mitigate risk and ensure project success
Act as an ambassador and change agent to build and sustain a culture of continuous improvement

    • Become an expert in HR technology platforms; stay current on new tools and features and drive adoption of our suite of tools
    • Bring operational rigor rooted in continuous improvement methodologies to organize and prioritize work such as Value Stream mapping, Voice Of Customer, Standard work and problem solving
    • Take a proactive and agile approach - comfortable with 80 / 20 rule, adapt as you discover more

Requirements

  • A./B.S. in Business, Human Resources or related degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 plus years of progressive Human Resources experience, project management and process improvement experience
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences
  • Possesses strong strategic orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking ability
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others in the work group
  • Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
  • Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment
  • Demonstrated successful application of project management methodology, tools, and best practices
  • Must be able to develop and clearly and concisely present a professional product to multiple levels of management
  • Must be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments
  • Possesses broad knowledge covering multiple Human Resources functions
  • ServiceNow experience required
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) product suite.
