Senior HR Project Manager (Remote - US)
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Sr Human Resources (HR Project Manager develops and maintains project plans supporting HR programs and initiatives using project management tools and processes. This role is responsible for coordinating teams across the HR function (including subject matter leaders, HR technology administrators, employee services, employee experience) and outside the HR function to deliver successful projects/programs within budget, on time and with a distinctive employee experience.
***Remote/Work from home (Continental US) - ability to work eastern hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs. Manages, and monitors projects from initiation through implementation, including scope, budget, change requests, risk and quality. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
- Designs project in coordination with line of business, technology, communication and change management resources from approved project scope. Coordinates and leads recurring meetings, including focused work streams and updates to senior leadership.
- Responsible for identifying, tracking, reporting and driving risks and issues to resolution; escalating unresolved issues to the leadership team in a timely manner. Develops options and recommendations to drive critical decisions.
- Establishes project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects meet high quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Works with internal teams, contractors and external vendors to ensure project documentation and requirements are captured, signed-off and delivered solution meets stated requirements. Acts as liaison across lines of business to work with critical stakeholders on interdependencies.
- Measures and monitors progress to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed expectations. Manages deadlines and pushes the project team to ensure timeliness by providing feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members.
- Partners with Information Technology to align and manage expectations for development timeframes.
- Provides clear and concise status updates and reports to various levels of the organization.
- Responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Performs other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
4 year/Bachelors Degree
Licensure/Certifications
PMI or PMP Certification (preferred)
Experience
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in Human Resources, Technology or Healthcare
- 5+ years of leadership and management of direct or indirect teams
- 5+ years in managing delivery of customer-facing and internal facing products or services
Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
5+ years of HR Technology and/or related HR Systems line of business experience, Workday and Kronos Dimensions technology implementation experience. Experience with leading Mergers & Acquisitions for Human Resources. Executing projects with a focus on Change Management and Communication.
Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Preferred
HR operational experience (benefit administration, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and culture).
