About the role:
Carbyne is looking for a highly motivated Senior HRBP to work with Carbynes US and Mexico teams. This role will report directly to the EVP of People. This role can be located in NY or on the East coast.
The Senior HRBP will serve as a trusted and collaborative advisor in providing proactive, practical, and valued HR thought leadership to the business while ensuring alignment with Carbyne's company culture and business initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a passion for solving complex challenges and gets excited about driving innovation through technology to address people and talent priorities. You will work on key initiatives and projects in areas such as organizational design, employee relations, employee engagement, culture and total rewards. This role requires someone to be dedicated to developing a strong, diverse, and collaborative organization, have a strong work ethic, a passion for managing the details within a growing global business and willing to contribute where/when necessary including the ability to roll up your sleeves.
Here's what you'll be working on:
  • Drive the delivery of a business-driven People service, providing day-to-day strategic support to key stakeholders, and ensuring all People policies and processes are in place and add value to the business.
  • Translate broad business and talent strategy into actional plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Lead specific people projects linked to the overall people strategy and priorities.
  • Coach leaders on a variety of topics that impact business results and people decisions.
  • Continuously improve employee engagement, performance, retention, and experience.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to increase value by raising standards and championing best practices, as well as actively looking for opportunities to create value for our business.
  • Ability to solve for both short term & long term business needs and pivot between the two.
  • Consistently demonstrates strong decision making skills and the ability to communicate around those decisions.
  • Handle employee relations issues as necessary.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of HR experience with a minimum of 5 years of HRBP experience or HR consulting experience.
  • Ability to establish solid relationships with all levels of an organization; strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate resolutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations related to HR and general business practices.
  • Able to create, analyze, report and manipulate data as it relates to HR metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management, communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Knowledge of HRIS or related HR technologies.
