Senior Human Resources Administrator
Job Description
Matrix is looking for a highly motivated professional to join our team as Senior Human Resources Administrator at our Florham Park, NJ headquarters.
Supporting the Human Resources department, your role will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll engage in a diverse array of HR tasks, from pre-hire screenings to crafting HR policies, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the HR department. You’ll use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. This position offers a hybrid work model with two days of remote work after initial training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the HR team and senior business leadership to implement consistent practices and HR strategies.
- Conduct ongoing meetings with assigned departments and leaders to address business and professional development needs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, providing insightful analysis through accurate reporting and routine audits.
- Assist in recruiting efforts, ensuring compliance with OFCCP regulations are consistent with a government contractor status.
- Manage new-hire onboarding process and conduct HR orientation.
- Administer employee surveys.
- Address employee questions and concerns, offering guidance and solutions.
- Stay updated on HR laws and ordinances, advising the HR team and drafting policies as needed.
- Foster positive work relationships, morale, and productivity among employees.
- Support all daily HR activities/operations.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned.
Education and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - coursework in Human Resources (HR) is a plus
- HR certification is a plus
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a high-growth, high change environment
- Experience in a professional consulting services industry highly preferred
- Understanding of general HR policies and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with HRIS systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
- Familiarity with HR best practices and benefits administration.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Software and payroll systems preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients
- Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliability, flexibility, and adaptability in a team and service-oriented environment
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a time-sensitive environment while maintaining the highest standards of work quality
