Job Description

Summary:

The Senior HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Human Resources business partnership to key departments within the Accuray organization. This remote (Midwest) role will be a part of a fun, passionate and dynamic HR and business team and requires strong team collaboration. This role is critical in leading and executing our people initiatives by providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

This HRBP will focus on developing and implementing an HR strategy that supports a growth environment and ensures that these strategies are aligned with the business objectives, as well as Accuray's culture.

This position will be based out of the Greater Madison, WI area and will work in a hybrid capacity with the expectation that the candidate will be able to work onsite (out of the Madison office) at least once per month.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Function as a business partner to key Accuray leaders and their respective organizations; engage in strategic planning meetings to translate business needs into HR plans, and coach and mentor at leadership at all levels in the organization with a specific focus on Culture, Talent, and Organization Capability.
  • Lead the annual HR efforts relating to Talent and Performance Management, Compensation Management, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development for respective client groups.
  • Present HR metrics (turnover, performance management, learning & development, employee surveys) and initiatives to assigned client groups.
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency in HR processes to enable the organization to hire and develop talent at scale and consistently to Accuray principles.
  • Take a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Facilitate change management within a rapid and complex changing work environment.
  • Facilitate training and or other presentations as needed to all levels of employees covering several topics linked to strategic/operating plan.

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in progressive HR leadership roles with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management, including employee relations, talent development, performance management and compensation.
  • Experience managing large teams of 100+ employees.
  • Advanced level analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated and effective verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and customer service skills in dealing with senior management along with all levels of employees and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and proven track record coaching managers through difficult or sensitive situations.
  • Exhibit the competencies consistent with the CEO Mindset; "Act like an Owner" including; Excellent Communication, Professional Presence, Self-Awareness, Performance/ Talent Management, Engagement, Accountability, Financial Discipline/ Business Acumen, Change leadership, Decision Making.
  • Working knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements (federal, state, local).
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

b. Preferred

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Able to travel domestically and globally, as needed.
  • Experience with US employment law preferred.
  • Experience assessing management and executive talent.
  • Experience with a Research and Development or technology function preferred.
  • Experience supporting a dispersed workforce preferred.

Accuray pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
