Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic Hardware Test engineer to join our Brocade Storage Networking (BSN) hardware engineering group for the development of leading edge Fibre Channel Switches. Candidate would be responsible for design test plans, test cases and perform product validation and verification of hardware in lab and field evironment. Testing would be at both electrical/component and Software/OS level to identify manufacturing defects and resolve hardware issues in coordination with development engineers.

Requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Experience with high speed networks, Linux and Windows Server OS a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Verification of Electrical circuit parameters using Oscilloscopes, Voltmeters and similar test equipment
• Develop scripts (using Linux script, Python, ) to verify system interaction and response
• Computation/Tabulation of Bit Error Rate (BER) on Fibre Channel links
• Create Test reports summarizing performance and test Pass/Fail for prototype systems
• Interact with Hardware and Software Engineers to resolve issues discovered
• Assist with prototype inventory / tracking.

Skillset Required• Expertise in use of Hardware test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Voltmeters, etc)• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating systems• Experience in validating Software interactions/command response on prototype systems• Experience with scripting using Bash, Python or alternate methods a plus• Good oral and written communication skills• Motivated, self-driven and good at multi-tasking

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,200 - $152,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
