Job Summary: 

As a Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist at Socure, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and enhancing our cloud-based IAM strategy. Your expertise will be key in streamlining identity governance, authentication, and authorization processes for our SaaS applications. Experience with platforms like Okta or similar identity cloud solutions is highly desirable, as these are integral to our cloud identity management infrastructure.In this role, you will focus on securing access to our SaaS applications and improving our identity and access control practices. Your work will significantly impact our security posture and the seamless operation of our cloud-based services.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Design and Manage Cloud IAM Solutions: Lead the design, implementation, and management of our IAM solutions in a cloud environment, ensuring scalability, security, and automation. 

  • Serve as the IAM Technical Authority: Act as the technical authority for IAM in a cloud context, including user provisioning, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and access control. 

  • Develop and Enforce Cloud IAM Policies: Create and enforce IAM policies and procedures tailored for a cloud environment, ensuring proper role-based access control and adherence to the principle of least privilege across our services.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with security, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure that identity management systems align with cloud security best practices, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements. Provide input on cross-functional projects with a focus on cloud IAM considerations.

  • Troubleshoot and Resolve IAM Issues: Diagnose and resolve complex IAM issues within our cloud environment, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining the security and performance of identity systems.

  • Strategic Development of Cloud IAM: Contribute strategically to the development of our cloud-based IAM framework, identifying areas for improvement, proposing new initiatives, and implementing changes to enhance security and operational efficiency.

  • Audit and Compliance in the Cloud: Perform regular audits of IAM processes within our cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards. Lead remediation efforts to address any identified vulnerabilities or compliance gaps.

  • Mentor and Guide Junior Staff: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in cloud IAM practices. Review their work to ensure alignment with our security standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IAM, IT administration, or a related field, with a focus on designing and implementing identity management solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with Okta (or similar IAM platforms) including user lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, and integration with third-party applications.

  • In-depth understanding of identity governance, access provisioning, and directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).

  • Strong knowledge of security best practices in IAM, including the principle of least privilege, role-based access control (RBAC), and federated identity management.

  • Experience conducting IAM audits, compliance checks, and remediating security vulnerabilities.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for IAM-related tasks and system integrations.

  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, and SOC 2.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure and IAM-related issues.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.

Salary range: $115,000 to $130,000
