Job Description

As a Senior Incentive Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for the development of incentive comp analytics dashboards, monthly and quarterly incentive comp reports, and assisting in the maintenance, calculation and distribution of all monthly and quarterly incentive compensation plans across our organization.  You will work closely with business partners from our GTM teams as well as the People Team, Finance & Strategy, Accounting and Payroll to ensure accuracy of plan design and payout amounts.  You have a passion for data and analytics with experience in incentive compensation analysis at a high-growth SaaS company.  Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects are a must. This position is 100% remote and will report directly to the Director, Variable Compensation.  This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to join a dynamic team at an exciting growth company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely delivery of all monthly and quarterly incentive compensation payout amounts to payroll for processing
  • Partner with the Finance Systems team to develop a library of analytics dashboards related to incentive compensation to provide visibility into program performance, GTM success, financial KPIs and cost allocation
  • Maintain our incentive compensation roster to understand changes related to new hires, leavers and movers, and proactively administer compensation plans appropriately
  • Leverage our fiscal year hiring plan to provide incentive comp payout and cost forecasts
  • Partner with IT to operationalize system improvements for incentive comp analysis and administration
  • Partner with DealOps to ensure Salesforce data compliance related to sales commissions and pipeline
  • Work closely with Finance & Strategy to provide any ad hoc incentive comp reporting requirements
  • Manage our inventory of compensation plan templates to streamline the distribution and signing process for all participants
  • Partner with SalesOps across our Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Success and Sales Development teams to provide technical guidance and expertise related to comp plan architecture, best practices, and change management
  • Maintain data accuracy within CaptivateIQ, our Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool
  • Partner with the Finance Systems team as a subject matter expert for incentive comp in order to assist in building out a more cohesive network of Finance systems
  • Assist in the reduction of time-to-close for Finance’s monthly close process by streamlining commission accrual delivery in compliance with ASC 606
  • Provide analyses related to sales rep attainment, productivity, deal cost, SPIFF cost and effectiveness, quarterly commission forecasting, in addition to any ad hoc reporting requests from business partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics or similar field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience at a high-growth SaaS company with direct work experience related to sales compensation and data analytics highly preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and Excel or Google Sheets required
  • Experience with an ICM tool highly preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems as well as experience with querying from a data warehouse preferred 
  • Experience with a data visualization tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Grafana is a plus
  • Strong understanding of sales compensation fundamentals such as commission rates, quota targets, SPIFFs, accelerators, draw programs, etc
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner cross-departmentally at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with data management and project organization
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple deliverables at one time

Compensation

In the United States, the base compensation range for this role is $130,000-$160,000.  Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits listed on our careers page.
