The Senior Incident Response Analyst will be part of the Incident Response (IR) team and will actively monitor the IT environment for intrusions and anomalies. Working with the IR team, they will perform all aspects of security events and incidents to completion. The Senior Incident Response Analyst will perform malware analysis and reverse engineering to determine the breadth and depth of security events and incidents and advise the Director, Incident Response on appropriate containment measures.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor security tools to identify threats and risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all Company applications, infrastructure, and data
• Create Incident Response Playbooks and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Ability to own an incident for its full lifecycle, to include postmortem reviews and follow-up actions
• Assist in the development of security related benchmarks and metrics
• Assist in the development of various security processes to enhance the overall security infrastructure as well as the overall Information Security Program
• Identify, evaluate, and implement practices to capture, model and analyze IT infrastructure log data
• Participate in the selection and configuration of security solutions, such as; secure web gateways, CASBs, network intrusion detection/prevention, end-point security, and SIEM.
• Remain current on emerging cyber security threats
Qualifications:
• Deep knowledge of computer security systems, applications, procedures and techniques
• Expert in networking and security technologies
• Practical understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
• Ability to effectively communicate and explain technical matters to IT Leadership and non-technical business partners
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work and communicate effectively under pressure and with competing priorities
• Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend/negotiate solutions
• Work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively as a member of a team
Education and experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Incident Response Analyst role
• CISSP certification or equivalent
• Experience with the following: Malware Detection, Log Analysis, HIDS/NIDS, Network Monitoring Tools, Case Management Systems, Web Security Gateways, Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Virus, Network Access Control, Encryption, and Vulnerability Identification
