Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented senior-level Information Assurance Analyst to join our Mission Solutions team! The developer will be part of a diverse team supporting a DoD modeling & simulation (M&S) program.

M&S provides a critical role in our nation's defense by bringing together medium to high fidelity threat system models into an integrated wargame simulation environment. Parsons has supported this program for over ten years, with an established team and excellent customer relationships. Because the need to secure our accurate and integrated modeling, simulation and analysis from cyber threats continues to grow, we are expanding our team to adapt to new challenges.

You will be a member of our M&S Systems Engineering Team and will work closely with software quality assurance teams, DevSecOps pipeline owners, and Government information assurance teams to ensure that all developed software is compliant with Government information assurance expectations. In this role you will work alongside software developers to ensure that developed software is secure from cyber threats and is able to meet Government information assurance standards.

This position may at times support a Hybrid work environment depending on specific job responsibilities. However, a fully remote work environment is not possible.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparing a software development team for information assurance assessments and accreditations of their developed software products
  • Aiding a software development team in the transition to a modern, efficient DevSecOps software development pipeline
  • Planning and leading technical tasks which could include acquiring an authority to operate for developed software
  • Participating in technical discussions to assist in near-term and long-term planning
  • Working alongside a software development team and mentoring software developers on the most cost-effective information security practices, tools, and processes
  • Identifying vulnerabilities in software prior to delivery
  • Conducting static application security testing (SAST) through tools such as Fortify and SonarQube and reviewing results of SAST scans to identify false positives and recommend corrective actions for true vulnerabilities.
  • Make recommendations on threat mitigation priorities based on risk

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • No clearance required to start, but candidate must be willing and able to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (with CI polygraph)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with 10+ years of experience, with additional education and relevant certifications potentially counting for additional years of experience
  • Knowledge of information security principles, techniques, and technologies
  • Knowledge of secure software development practices throughout the software development life cycle
  • Knowledge of the tools and processes associated with DevSecOps software development pipelines
  • Experience with static code analysis and software composition analysis tools
  • Understanding of source code programming languages and operating systems
  • Good written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with a highly technical team

  • Experience working with AGILE software development teams
  • Performing risk and cost tradeoff estimations within a risk management framework

Salary Range:

$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
