We are looking for an innovative Senior Information Management Specialist to support one of our Federal clients. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Senior Information Management Specialist

The Senior Information Management Specialist is a key member and subject matter expert in the effort to improve records management and compliance with requirements and information governance standardsInvolved in developing plans for the management of information and its standard operating procedures that need to be followed. For planning purposes, tasks may include the following:

  • Strategically plan, develop, and lead coordinated agency initiatives and projects to improve agency records management processes, including the use of tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and consideration of the use of electronic content management, or other tools to systematically organize and manage records.
  • Develop reports, correspondence, and presentations to including spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations. Reports required may be recurring or special in nature and can contain both technical and administrative information.
  • Handle routine questions without referral to outside entities and judge when calls should be referred to federal staff or other available resources.
  • Develop, oversee, and implement training of agency staff, and records coordinators, to achieve compliance on records management principles and practices.
  • Perform document integration and editing as directed by the COR. Collate and develop material for staff presentations or in anticipation of staff's needs.
  • Lead creation of template letters for common approvals such as program option change approvals, and key-staff hire approvals.
  • Monitors and assists in integration of records management principles within data governance and agency framework.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • At least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate professional experience related to responsibilities as described above.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, coaching, staff training and implementing effective quality assurance systems in activities directly related to the task.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in editing and producing high quality written products such as reports, memoranda, presentations, and correspondence and effective oral communication.
  • High level of demonstrated proficiency in utilizing a variety of web-based and commercial off the shelf data management software packages such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SmartSheets, Tableau, etc.
  • High level of demonstrated proficiency in aggregating, analyzing, and presenting data gathered from multiple sources.
  • Three (3) years' experience with the Head Start Act and Head Start Program Performance Standards.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance for access to Government Systems.
