About This Role:

The Senior Information Security Engineer will work to advance the security of Accra's information systems by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks, mentoring and training others in security techniques, monitoring internal compliance to policies and securing highly sensitive data. Qualified candidates will have a background in and strong enthusiasm for Information Security and Systems.

About You:

• Proven to work in an Information Security role for 5+ years.
• Experience in building and maintaining common security systems, including two or more of the following, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Security Incident Event Management Systems (SIEM), Authentication Systems, content filtering systems, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), network monitoring tools, and anti-virus and endpoint detection and response (EDR) log collection systems. 
• Must have strong knowledge in network concepts including firewalls, switch and routing, and virtual network devices.
• Detailed technical knowledge of server, database, network, cloud, and operating system security.
• Thorough understanding of the latest security trends, principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Industry certification including CASP or equivalent level. If not certified, the candidate must obtain certification within the first year of employment.
• Associate degree or higher in an Information Security related field.
• Be available off hours for issue resolution or system upgrades.
• Ability to respond carefully and quickly to security incidents and independently make decisions to minimize negative impact and risk to the the organization.
• Be someone that has strong enthusiasm for Information Security Systems.
• Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously with regular interruptions while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and maintain a high standard of professional courtesy, flexibility, confidentiality and discretion while working collaboratively in an office environment, independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
• Advanced communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must pass a background study with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
