Salary: $140,000 - $155,000

We are seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to serve as lead support for multiple program accreditation lifecycles between sites. As a Senior ISSM, you will be responsible for leading multiple ISSMs and maintaining multiple system accreditations across sites. You will ensure that operational security is maintained for these information systems (IS) in accordance with internal and external security policies, program requirements, and system security plan requirements and guide optimization of information system programs within the company. This position is on-site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a growing team of Information Assurance (IA) professionals
- Facilitate/manage full entire accreditation lifecycles for multiple ground and space-based systems
- Manage all Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps to align with programmatic needs in support of multiple programs.
- Manage accreditation packages through Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) instances.
- Develop and maintain system security plans (SSP) and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with SSP.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal and external security policies and the system security plan.
- Initiate protective or corrective measures when security incident or vulnerability is discovered.
- Ensure configuration management for security relevant IS software, hardware and firmware are maintained and documented.
- Follow procedures for authorizing software, hardware and firmware use before implementation on the system.
- Ensure system recovery processes are monitored to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored.
- Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
- Formally notify the appropriate individuals when changes occur that might affect accreditation.
- Ensure that system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the system life cycle.
- Create/provide security education and awareness training to cleared employees.
- Work collaboratively with the site Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Assistant FSO to provide support when needed.
- Ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before being granted access to IS.
- Report all security-related incidents.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Participate in technical reviews and audits to identify and mitigate system security vulnerabilities of both ground and space systems.
- Additional responsibilities as needed that tie directly into contractual RMF requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years related to secure information system experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience in lieu of degree.
- Working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
- Security Clearance Requirement: Secret
- Administrative knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft 365, and Linux operating systems.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- DoD 8570.01-M Certification Required: Minimum IAT Level 2 or IAM 1
- Working experience with RMF, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53/53A, NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM Manual.
- Experience with assessment tools such as eMASS, ACAS, STIGs and SCAP, Auditing
