Department Summary:

MITRE's Classified Infrastructure Services team is seeking a Sr. IT Engineer in support of MITRE's Classified work program. The successful candidate will work with other team members in the program to deliver classified services to MITRE customers. They will also be responsible for the development, operational, and sustainment of one or more capabilities or services in the portfolio.

Job Responsibilities:

The lead engineer will have experience operating in classified environments and understand STIG and related requirements. The lead engineer will work well with the security and program management teams and other system administrators to ensure that required changes and additions are made in a timely manner to ensure accreditation deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications:

• Serve as a systems administrator, architect and engineer for one or more of the above capability areas for a number of environments used to support National Security work programs. Prioritize tasking and resolution of issues driven by immediate user requirements as well as longer term planning for improvements to the system
• Provide leadership as well as hands on support to the development and sustainment of critical capabilities
• Provide expertise across several other work program areas
• Top Secret Clearance
• Security+ or CISSP

Preferred Qualifications:

• Networking (Layer 2/3, MPLS, VRF, Cisco & Arista) and Network Management (HP NNMi, Site Scope, SNMPv3)
• Virtualization (Citrix, VMWare)
• Security (Palo Alto, HBSS, NESSUS, ACAS), PKI/Certs
• Storage and Backup (Commvault, Pure, Vast, NetApp)
• Collaboration (email, skype etc)
• Automation (Chef, Ansible)
