Job Description

Precise has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with experience in managing large complex programs to lead SAS implementations within Government IT projects. This leadership role requires the excellent communication skills needed to be the liaison between the clients, internal technical leads and partners/subcontractors to drive collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading a team of business analysts and developers through product implementation and O&M support
  • Serve as liaison between clients, internal technical leads and partners in all aspects of projects.
  • Prepare and lead client status reports, overall project timelines, risk mitigation management
  • Provide clear and accurate instructions for technical leads involved in the program
  • Creating and managing project plans and schedules
  • Management Plans project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, deliverables, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Directs and controls activities for multiple workstreams.
  • Provide oversight, coordination for the project work with partners/subcontractors
  • Creation and management task orders, statement of works, and managing staffing for the projects.
  • Motivating team

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ leading and managing initiatives from initiation to completion of work.
  • 5+ years’ experience using analytical, problem solving, research, and time management skills.
  • 5+ years’ experience analyzing complex business processes in order to develop business requirements and functional specifications.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading Agile teams
  • Demonstrated project management skills, techniques, and methodology.
  • Experience on Government Projects (Federal or State).
  • The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work directly with client technical and management personnel.
  • Solid track record of successful program execution to include examples of process improvements.
  • Candidate must be located within the eastern or central time zone with the project execution based on the eastern time zone.

Education:

  • BS degree required

Preferred:

  • PMP Certification.
  • State government experience
  • SAS Implementation experience
