Senior Infrastructure Engineer

As a F5 Engineer, you will be joining a dynamic team of consultants delivering a datacenter migration and oversee the migration of F5 configuration from existing datacenter hardware to a replacement datacenter equipment supporting load-balancing of applications on-premises and within Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The team is delivering to our customer and this role will include collaboration and design for our customer. We are looking for somebody who brings a strong customer focus, a desire to understand the customer needs, and help address their challenges within the scope of project services.

What You'll Be Doing

• Architect and design F5 implementation with migration from existing LTM to replacement LTM
• Manage F5 Big IP devices on-prem and in the cloud (upgrades, migrations, develop and deploy new services, integration with monitoring and automated provisioning systems)
• Create iRules, policies, configure virtual IPs, pools, nodes, data-groups
• Design, POC, Develop, Implement, Deploy and Support ADC infrastructure and solutions
• Troubleshoot pool health and ensure functional validation of nodes in pools are working as expected

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel.

Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Must be able to obtain and/or maintain Secret Clearance.

Profile of Success

• F5 BIG-IP Certified Technical Specialist - or equivalent working experience
• BS Degree in the Computer Sciences area or equivalent working experience
• Enterprise level experience
• Very good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS and HTTP protocols
• Fully autonomous and self-driven along with a strong ability to adapt and respond to project change quickly
• Customer oriented and quality mindset - we continually strive to deliver true customer value.
• Presenting network plans to management staff and overseeing the network implementation process, including setting schedules and budgets
• Keeping documentation of networks, including drawings, descriptions and configurations
• Researching network technologies and staying up to date on advancements in the field

Desirable Skills

• Experience in VDI (Virtual desktop Infrastructure)
• Microsoft Certifications such as AZ900
• Obtain or utilize certifications as part of continuous professional growth
