Focus:

Responsible for supporting project teams in the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements. Supports the design, build, improvement and integration of infrastructure required to support the business portfolio or infrastructure platform in terms of robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency. Supports initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions that implement to Technology standards.

Organizational Context:

Member of an infrastructure product engineering team reporting to an Engineering Director, extended member of software product engineering team.

How will you make an impact in this role?

• You will work closely with application teams to define, frame and bring together business needs
• Participate in the infrastructure design and selection process
• Align customer needs to the evolution of the platform product roadmap
• Handle the diagnosis and correction of infrastructure problems
• Provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper support during outages or periods of degraded system performance
• Conduct infrastructure performance and security assessments
• Support the certification and accreditation of infrastructure on customer networks
• Provide beneficial solutions for business, both tactically and strategically
• Lead customers to understand how current or envisioned processes align to industry standard methodology
• Define processes, documentation and engineering diagrams for technical and operations support
• Prioritize, complete and lead projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
• Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
• Responsible for the quality of work in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing and alignment to technical compliance standards.
• Provide lead support and direction to the team responsible for the overall health and maintenance of all infrastructure assets

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Experience with systems analysis/programming, incorporating: design methodology, Infrastructure operations support or engineering
• Experience with a variety of software languages, operating systems, or network protocols
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of infrastructure and operations experience, with specialization in slack app development and enablement across the enterprise

Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and coding principles/design patterns, a passion for hands-on coding, and experience in at least one core programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, .Net (C#)
• Experience with coding in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Perl, or Ruby
• Experience with Slack app and ChatBot development
• Hands-on experience with GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, ELK, Grafana, and CI/CD tooling
• Inherent and proven problem-solving nature, with an engaged and proactive attitude
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with a service-oriented mindset
