Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to work with internal teams by specifying and delivering equipment solutions for our manufacturing assembly, test, and quality areas. This will involve working with a cross functional team to understand the product design and assembly process, develop a robust solution to fulfill needed requirements, and deliver equipment according to the project plan.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the internal customer to identify and specify the requirements for their application to ensure their needs are met.
  • Leading and managing testing teams or projects, including setting goals and priorities, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Developing and implementing testing strategies and plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior test engineers or other team members on testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product management and development, to ensure that testing aligns with overall product goals and strategy.
  • Developing and executing advanced tests, such as performance, security, and scalability tests.
  • Reviewing and evaluating new tools and technologies that may be relevant to testing, and making recommendations for adoption.
  • Participating in the planning and management of testing projects, including estimating effort, setting timelines, and managing budgets.
  • Providing regular reports and presentations on the status and outcomes of testing activities to management and other stakeholders.
  • Representing the Integrated Systems Engineering team in meetings with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Staying up to date with industry developments and trends and sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering or related field with equivalent experience with 5-7 years working in manufacturing environment in similar product development, reliability, test or quality roles.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience performing project management and leading teams
  • Good communication skills and ability to facilitate discussion and influence at all levels
  • Familiarity with system design, specifically
    • Electrical circuits
    • Electro/mechanical systems integration
    • Industrial communication
    • Safety systems/processes

  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, data analytics and SW programming (I.E. Visual Basic, C++, PLC; LabView preferred)
  • Data analysis skills

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

  • Solid modeling (Solidworks preferred)
  • Safety design (TUV certified a plus)
  • Experience with automation and vision systems
