Responsibilities 

Cost Analysis:

- Perform meticulous cost analysis for both hardware and software products, ensuring precise and consistent cost allocation and tracking.

- Analyze and monitor the costs associated with raw materials, labor, overhead, and other production-related expenses for hardware products.

- Calculate and oversee the standard cost of goods sold (COGS) for each product line.

- Conduct regular cost variance analyses and investigate any discrepancies.

Product Costing & Optimization:

- Calculate and maintain accurate product costs, covering materials, labor, and overhead, for various hardware and software products.

- Analyze product profitability to support pricing strategies and decisions related to the product portfolio.

- Identify opportunities to enhance the profitability of hardware products.

Cost Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Assist Finance and Operations leaders in developing and monitoring cost budgets and forecasts for hardware and software projects and products.

- Collaborate globally with cross-functional teams to establish production cost budgets and forecasts.

- Track actual costs against budgets and forecasts, providing explanations for variances.

- Contribute to the development of cost reduction initiatives.

Inventory Management:

- Oversee inventory valuation and control, reconciling inventory accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking quantities and valuation and implementing a cycle count process.

- Monitor inventory turnover rates and ensure optimal inventory levels.

- Assist in periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations.

Financial Reporting & Documentation:

- Prepare and present cost-related financial reports, data and presentations for CFO, COO and senior management, highlighting key cost drivers and trends.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cost accounting procedures and policies.

- Assist with month-end close process

- Prepare PBC’s and interface with auditor’s during annual audit.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously evaluate and enhance cost accounting processes and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the production and supply chain.

- Implement best practices to reduce costs and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive cost accounting and inventory experience.

- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience with NetSuite ERP systems and cost accounting software.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.

- Proficiency in German language is preferred.

- Must be willing and able to travel domestically and globally at least 20% of the time.
