Senior Investigations Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in trust and safety scaled operations, influence operations investigations, or intelligence analysis.
• Experience leading and coaching team members.
• Experience with technical indicators and common cyber investigations techniques, open source intelligence tools and methods, analysis and the fusion of all source intelligence into actionable insights.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of SQL and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work in a rapidly-changing industry and manage ambiguity, minimizing uncertainty through quantitative and qualitative insights.
• Ability to frame complex problems within a geopolitical context for diverse audiences, structure analyses, and drive impact.
• Ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$189,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Perform abuse investigations using various technical data sources, identify product vulnerabilities, and assess impact.
• Manage analytic workflows ensuring deadlines are met, analytic precision is applied and reporting deliverables reflect best practice intelligence assessments.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to drive the development of policies to ensure coverage against evolving threat actor Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
• Prepare written analytic products, presentations and strategic insights for YouTube leadership and to the broader organization.
• Apply statistical methods to large data sets and understand the impact of abuse to the YouTube ecosystem. Contribute to strategy and development of new workflows against additional known and emerging vectors of abuse.
