Senior iOS Engineer

Veo is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to enhance our mobile app further. We're seeking skilled people with 5+ years of experience in iOS development to join a professional, innovative, and motivated team committed to building great products in a great environment.

Knowledge and experience working with Swift and SwiftUI is essential. There is a prevailing sense of unity within the team, underpinned by an appreciation for collective effort in our work culture.

You will work closely with our mobile and backend engineers, product managers, and designers to continually enhance a high-impact product.

What you will do:

• Hands-on coding to deliver incremental product features
• Review code to ensure a high standard of team deliveries
• Collaborate with team members on design, technical, and UX/UI aspects
• Act as a knowledgeable sparring partner on architectural and technical topics
• Engage in design-thinking workshops with the team
• Build and release new versions of the application
• Produce clean, efficient code based on technical specifications
• Write necessary tests to ensure the application functions as expected
• Troubleshoot and debug existing software

Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of iOS development and the Apple ecosystem
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
• Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Understanding of UX/UI design requirements and ability to convert them into user-facing applications using Swift and related technologies
• Experience with AVFoundation for handling media playback, editing, and capture is advantageous
• Experience with MultipeerConnectivity for peer-to-peer communication and data sharing between devices is beneficial
• Familiarity with background URL sessions that facilitate network operations, including downloads and uploads, will be viewed favorably
• Strong mentor for more junior engineers
• Familiarity with test-driven development and enhancing testability in code
• Prioritization of high-quality work and attention to detail in architectural and technical aspects
• Accustomed to working in fast-paced, agile environments
