Our team at Carta, Tax Advisory, is responsible for building financing solutions for shareholders like you and I to use. We enable shareholders to overcome their most significant hurdle in making the most of their equity: understanding taxes. Our current efforts focus on pairing with Tax Advisors. In 2023, we plan to offer additional touchpoints to interact with Tax Advisory and build the first Tax Advisory features in Carta’s existing mobile application. As such, you are joining this 0-to-1 team at a critical time and will directly contribute to our revenue growth and overall business impact.
The Problems You’ll SolveAs the first iOS Engineer on the team, you’ll play a critical role in setting the foundation of iOS development on the team. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our core Mobile Engineer team, other product teams and the Tax Advisory business stakeholders.Â
Some of the problems you’ll contribute to solving:
- Develop a technical roadmap for mobile engineering for Tax Advisory for 2023 and beyond.
- Drive proof of concepts with the team to help us understand tradeoffs and options for building the best possible user experience.
- Mentor more junior engineers in iOS development to ensure great collaboration within and with other teams.
You will join a lean R&D team of 10 engineers, a product manager, and a designer. We work very closely with our business partners in sales, delivery, and operations. Engineers on this team directly collaborate with business partners to identify problem statements, propose solutions, and ideate on POCs. This collaboration has been the driving force behind our velocity, motivation, and impact. Joining our team means you’ll have the opportunity to shape the roadmap and processes for scaling the team in 2023.
As the founding iOS engineer on the team, you’ll help us define the process and culture of iOS and mobile development on the team. Your tightly knit collaboration internally and externally will provide you with plenty of opportunities and visibility and a high trajectory as an engineer.
About YouYou are a passionate iOS Engineer who understands the user experience and empathy for the user. With 4+ years of experience, you’re fluent in Swift, take pride in your ability to write clear, concise and maintainable code, and are familiar with unit testing best practices. We need a strong communicator comfortable working with stakeholders across the org to understand business and product requirements. You understand that being an effective engineering partner means collaboration with product managers, designers, and mobile, front-end, and back-end developers.
SalaryCarta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:Â
- Â $161,500 - $190,000 in San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA; and New York City, NY
Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
