Senior iOS Engineer Team Lead-Canada

We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer Team Lead to build and scale business-critical mobile products and provide technical and relational leadership to a team of software engineers, initially working on a mission-critical SDK shared across multiple prominent consumer applications.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced team that excels at building quality client Products at scale.

Qualifications

Essential skills:

• Expert-level knowledge in Swift/iOS Development
• Must be comfortable working on an iOS project with no immediate need for UI Development

Helpful skills:

• Experience with a distributed database system like Couchbase, Firebase, Ditto, etc
• Experience developing libraries and shared components in Swift - this role does not initially involve UI development

The role also requires a voracious appetite to learn and apply new skills. You should be skilled at building web-based software or mobile apps, and excel at building software with different sets of tools and in different client environments.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, scale, and enhance Software Products, Apps, and Platforms based on Client Needs and Business Requirements
• Communicate Technical Topics clearly, in language that can be easily understood by Clients
• Collaborate with Designers, and Product Teams to propose solutions to meet the goals of Clients and their Products
• Define, refine, and document Best Practices that enable excellent team performance
• Technical leadership of a development team, including people-leadership of up to 7 Bellwood developers

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of iOS software development experience
• Has experience building and scaling Software Products and enjoys mentoring and leading other developers
• Has experience architecting and deploying Software Products to Cloud Providers like Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Azure

Travel Requirements:
This position requires mandatory travel to attend two key company-wide events annually. These events are essential for our organizational goals and provide valuable opportunities for team engagement and collaboration. The company will arrange and cover all travel and accommodation expenses. Additional travel related to the role may also be required.​​​​​​​
