The Senior IT Administrator will maintain and enhance the information systems that support an enterprise infrastructure, providing the necessary technical infrastructure for the development of new infrastructure technologies and system requirements. The Senior IT Administrator will work with the complex systems infrastructure and will make the necessary modifications. The Senior IT Administrator will review the technical requirements of the overall management, implementation and transition of both operational service and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities for Senior IT Administrator- Responsible for all aspects of the IdP implementation and management - including application configuration, required automation, and migration.
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization - both on-prem as well as in the cloud (AWS/GCP)
- Install upgrade and maintain infrastructure components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Provide assistance and guidance to the helpdesk support team, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Responsible for capacity, storage, network planning, and performance
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 5-8 years experience with AWS and GCP infrastructure planning, implementation and operation.
- 5-8 years experience managing GSuite - user provisioning, automation etc
- Extensive experience with IdP implementation and integrations - specifically, Okta or Jumpcloud
- 5-8 years experience with Microsoft Azure - including integration, SAML configuration, Group Policies, In-Tune implementation, OS Deployment considerations, etc.
- 5-8 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
- Extensive understanding and experience with virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- Strong Linux / Unix skills, ability to patch the OS and Kernel, manage physical disk infrastructure, secure access and network configuration.
- Understanding/Experience working with Compliance/Certification operations - such as SOC2/ISO/GDPR/CCPAÂ
- Maintain all security policies and practices, identify gaps in security practices, and propose remedies. Â
- Carry out your assigned duties in a professional and independent manner and proactively identify technical problems and propose solutions.Â
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
