The analyst represents business needs to their team by providing a deeper technical understanding of business process flows and desired outcomes.
Analysts help define improvements to business processes, assist decision makers in gathering information to make decisions. Increase application quality by testing solutions including assist developers creating automated tests, assist software testers with test plans and execution. Define production system operation tools such as operational dashboards, active and actionable alert conditions, process run-books and other system documentation.
Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting other project managers on larger more complex cross functional projects driven by other areas of the business by performing the following main duties.
- Ensure business outcomes are properly documented in epics, stories, environment/system documents.
- Gathers and develops the functional and technical requirement specifications necessary to meet the business support needs, project deliverables and deadlines.
- Creates and maintains project documentation including, but not limited to: solution requirements specifications, test plans, test results, and user acceptance test results and approvals Assist PO maintaining the team backlog (organize, prioritize, document epics and stories).
- Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
- Possess creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing practices and client mindsets. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles and challenges others while serving as a role model and team lead. Generates enthusiasm among team members and mentors those with less experience.
- Holds teammates accountable for delivering sprint and increment goals.
- Manages multiple competing priorities according to team and sprint goals, production safety and security, executive management priorities.
- Embodies lean software development and DevOps methodologies (provide fast feedback to the team, support on demand deployments, technical debt retirement, protect production system assets).
- Ensures business unit management, IS resources and users are effectively engaged in the development and execution of the solution.
- Recommends changes and/or software enhancements to improve business efficiency.

Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional 5+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role. At least 5 years' additional progressive experience.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio. Basic programming, development or technical knowledge. Basic SQL and database relationship understanding
