Senior IT Application Architect- (Remote)

What are my Key Responsibilities:• Application architecture subject matter expert to business areas, project teams and vendors to apply and execute appropriate use of technology solutions and lead efforts to examine technology vision, opportunities and challenges. • Evaluates strengths and flaws in application architecture designs including performance, quality, and availability, simplicity of design, security and total cost of ownership. Define reusable components and patterns.• Critical in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology solutions including providing detailed analysis of pros and cons and build vs buy options. Promotes implementation of new technology, solutions and methods to improve business processes, efficiency, effectiveness and value delivered to customers. Maintains operational, architectural and design documentation including procedures, task lists, and business area architecture blue prints.• Benchmarks technology strategies and architectures. Monitors and anticipates trends and investigates organizational objectives and needs. Provides guidance on integration solutions and prepares benchmarking reports and presentations. Establishes and maintains vendor relationships to review and evaluate designs and controls and influence changes in future product releases• Establishes, builds and maintains relationships with IT and business area partners to evaluate designs and controls communicating business value and ROI of architecture. Mentors and provides technical oversight of work of less experienced Architects.• Create high level design and Architecture Overview Diagrams and present it to the Technical teams. Responsible for presenting the Technical Design and the Solution implementation plans to the Architecture Review Board and gains acceptance and approvals.

What is Required:• 6+ years' work experience in IT development/programming/coding professional work experience, including 2 or more years of work experience as an Application Architect working on progressively complex IT projects.• Hands on experience in transforming applications from on-prem to cloud based• Expertise creating architectural designs and hands on experience with JAVA, Javascript OR Python• In depth knowledge in a Hadoop based environment and ecosystem

• Strong knowledge and working experience in any of the Caching Databases, like Mongo and PostgreSQL, etc
• Experience with general application architectures such as web front end development, microservices, database access

• Lifelong learner and practitioner of new technologies in alignment with IT strategies• Expertise in creating architecture, green-field and redesign, and defining extensible architectures that can be built by project team incrementally• Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.• Highly adept at technical leadership, consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, presentation, and facilitation.• Demonstrated success in communicating highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for wide variety of audiences.

What is Preferred:• Expertise in HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Impala, HBase, Flume, ZooKeeper, Spark/Spark Streaming, Kafka and other Big Data technologies.• Deep technical understanding of LLM design patterns to ensure that solutions achieve quality project outcomes and that the systems built meets the business needs and achieves the intended business value.• Deep understanding of techniques in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models. Experience with training, fine-tuning, and deploying models on premise and in cloud environments.• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.• Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain.

General Physical Demands

Annualized Salary Range: $121,300 - $197,100

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $121,300 - $151,600

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
