Senior IT Business Analyst

Labcorp is recruiting a Sr. IT Business Analyst for a dynamic team in RTP, NC.

The IT Quality Assurance - Analysis Team of Laboratory Corporation of America (Labcorp) has an opportunity for talented Sr. IT Business Analyst to join a motivated and productive team in delivering enterprise-level solutions. The ideal candidate has successful experience defining software systems, and supporting teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Serves as a primary IT Business Analyst on medium to large complex projects
• Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong analytical and organizational skills (required)
• Able to work independently, within a team and are self-motivated
• Experience supporting Agile Scrum and Waterfall software development life cycles.
• Able to successfully elicit complex business and technical requirements using interviews, document analysis, Lab SOPs, requirements workshops, surveys, and site visits.
• Deliver functional, non-functional business requirements using: use cases, user stories, user interface designs, business process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams.
• Develop requirements specifications according to and using the defined requirement process, and tools, required by project guidelines: Top Team Analyst, JIRA, Confluence, Visio
• Communicates clearly and effectively; written and verbal
• Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with Lab operations, pathologists, medical directors on requirements, requirement efficiencies, requirement priority and delivered value.
• Fosters good working relationships with all departments while managing business expectation levels.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal / external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
• Promotes, represents, and shares knowledge and experience with team and operations. Assists with removing impediments.
• Active participant in daily scrum, representing documented requirements
• Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development and support teams through which requirements progress
• Able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Provide input into Test Plan creation and support test plan validation as required for QA

License/Certification/Education: Normally requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical, business or science related discipline

• 5+ years' practical experience in a Business or Systems Analyst role
• CBAP IIBA certification or equivalent Business Analysis certification a plus
• Project Management training or certification a plus
• Experience working in a commercial medical lab a plus
• Agile Scrum training or certification a plus
