Senior IT Engineer

We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer with experience in supporting a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and SaaS applications. You should be able to troubleshoot in unfamiliar territory, provide technical support, and maintain third-party applications. This role is 100% remote with occasional travel to sites. Candidates based in the Chicago or Houston metros are preferred but not required.

• Collaborate with internal technology staff and remote users providing application support.
• Monitor systems performance and security.
• Support Windows and Mac devices.
• Provide Tier 3 support to the IT Support team.
• Own and maintain multiple projects.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Ensure the stability and security of the company's IT systems and applications.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to improve system reliability and security.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and SaaS applications.
• Strong technical knowledge of Identity Providers, SSO, MFA, and LDAP.
• Experience with JumpCloud, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, New Relic and ThousandEyes a plus.
• Technical knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VOIP, and VPN.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices and experience implementing security solutions.
• Experience with Google Workplace, Slack, AWS, GCP, and Atlassian tools.
• Automation and scripting experience for Windows and Mac.
• Exposure to security and patching tools, Rapid7 and Automox.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
