Senior IT Engineer

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of IT,  this hands-on engineer will lead and develop IT services built to drive and optimize systems across established and future business processes. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain essential IT operations, including servers, operating systems, security tools, applications, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, network, and hardware.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
• Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the organization.
• Strong knowledge of IAM in AWS
• Ensure that vendors are meeting quality standards of best practices with vendor partners.
• Implement IT policies and process development using industry best practices.
• Manage application changes with outside vendors, including updates, patches, migrations, and integrations.
• Resolve day to day technical challenges both applications and some hardware support.
• Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
• Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
• Participate in security incident response activities as needed

Qualifications 

• 5+ years previous IT engineering experience, preferably in a SaaS company
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Identity and Access Management, Network Security, Endpoint management (MDM), third party SaaS application management, asset management
• Experience in SOC2, ISO and PCI-DSS compliance would be a plus
• Experience delivering large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced IT environment and being a global team player
• Established time management skills with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
