Senior IT Manager of Applications

Position Summary:

This position’s primary goal is to partner with the R&D, Regulatory, QA and Tech Ops team to help drive their many applications and data initiatives. This position will continue to drive Benchling adoption and further extend functionality into the In Vivo area. They will also look at optimizing the lab systems to reduce the amount of time the Lab Scientists spend on monitoring their experiments. Responsible for ensuring software solutions including processes are meeting users’ expectations while maintaining regulatory compliance where applicable. They also will play a key role in selecting and implementing an Inventory system for Tech Ops, RIMs, Training QMS and HRMS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for software solutions including processes, requirements and configurations 
• Act as a trusted advisor for internal stakeholders, manage stakeholders expectations, and ensure business needs are well communicated and met with current and future systems
• Coordinate and manage continuous improvement of the major software systems
• Develop a robust change release management processes 
• Help develop IT Systems Applications Roadmap for the company

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• 8+ years related experience in the BioTech/Medical sector
• Implemented and supported key lab systems ELN/LIMS
• Extensive understanding of Validate Systems
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written with broad audience including Executive level team
• Skilled in organizing, scheduling and prioritizing work assignments with strong leadership skills and the ability to delegate effectively 
• Excellent project management skills to help solve complex issues across multiple teams
• Strong business acumen and exceptional interpersonal skills

The anticipated salary range for the Sr IT Manager position based in our Menlo Park, CA office is $148,000-180,000.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.  Synthekine is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
