You will be a Senior Engineer part of the Global IT Risk team from our Chicago office, which will give you the opportunity to work closely with local stakeholders to create the best possible solutions. You will work in an agile setting with team members based in Amsterdam.
Your primary mission is to serve as the conductor of Risk data within our organization, orchestrating and developing the flow of information from various sources to its destination. You play a vital role in ensuring Risk data is collected, transformed, and made readily available for analysis and decision-making processes. You will be part of the transfer of on-premise applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.
Job Responsibilities

  • Migrate data and applications from existing on-premise infrastructure to AWS
  • Contribute to supplying reliable risk-related data to various stakeholders in the Risk Management and the IT organization
  • Work together with the Product Owners, Business Developers, IT Engineers, and other teams in the organization
  • Develop software solutions for data integration from a variety of sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party services
  • Create data pipelines and use extract, transform, load (ETL) processes to efficiently collect and prepare data for analysis
  • Design software systems that can scale with increasing volumes, with a strong emphasis on high-availability standards, efficiency, and resilience
  • Work closely with global stakeholders in Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong, Amsterdam and Chicago on a day-to-day basis


Job Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant work experience, with an expert level of AWS
  • Experience implementing effective data models and schemas
  • Experience in data orchestration, ETL processes, and data integration
  • Strong knowledge of data transformation, data quality, and data governance
  • Experience working in an agile environment and with agile practices
  • You are teamwork-, innovation- and goal-orientated;
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering or similar preferred
  • An affinity with financial services and risk management
