Senior IT Solutions Engineer

As an IT Solutions Senior Engineer, you are responsible for partnering with our engineers through design, operation, and service of software, hardware, and services that are critical to the health of our client's building control systems. Your role takes ownership of proactively finding problems in your space and ideating on how to solve these problems. You typically work on small/medium-sized projects, consulting on designs and specifications in partnership team members. You are able to evaluate a problem holistically and prioritise which step to address first based on prior experience. Once you are proficient in all necessary knowledge and skills, you will also help your team with operational escalations, troubleshooting, and automation of systems.

You are highly technical and are comfortable working with IT and Infrastructure technologies. You will collaborate with various global teams including security, networking, and infrastructure. You're a fast learner and a great communicator of our IoT/IT solutions relating to our global office portfolio. The role requires combining your experience of IT technologies to ensure the successful implementation of IT solutions for building controls & IoT related services on client infrastructure. We are looking for a systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership to solutions. You will sometimes be required to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions with sometimes limited information.

• Technical consultant for design, operation, and service excellence of software, hardware, and services that are critical to the health of clients building control systems.
• You are focused on proactively finding problems within IT infrastructure and ideating on how to solve these problems. 
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and bug-fixing on technical issues. This includes conducting root-cause analysis, isolating the source of the problem, and resolving bugs. 
• Create, maintain, and publish IT policies, standards, and procedures related to IoT deployment on client infrastructure. Improve procedures through service redesign via automation or process elimination.
• Eliminate repetitive tasks by automating complex system administration tasks by using coding, scripting, or systems engineering skills. For example, automating patch management and build systems.
