Responsibilities:
- Prepare & deploy workstations, laptops, printers, and other various IT equipment within established SOPs.
- Install & configure appropriate software according to security and operational specifications.
- Perform remote & on-site troubleshooting to diagnose & resolve end-user IT technical problems (reconfigure, repair, replace).
- Develop & maintain relationships with IT teams to facilitate collaborative troubleshooting and support.
- Assist remote IT technical support teams in the local deployment & operational sup-port of various network and security equipment.
- Collaborate with lab technical staff and vendors to install & support unique specialized laboratory instruments & other systems or equipment.
- Assist in occasional after-hours remediation of expected and unexpected support is-sues and projects.
- Manage work request and incident tickets in ServiceNow in accordance with the established SOPs and SOWs.
- Develop & maintain expertise working in various IT systems management and monitoring tools that are used by the department to complete tasks.
- Serve as an IT technical point person on projects and other technical business requests.
- Assist in the creation, review and maintenance of technical-based Wiki articles, technical how-to / tips-n-tricks and SOPs.
- Performs IT hardware asset management duties; submits IT hardware order requests, receives & secures hardware deliveries, accurately maintains asset tracking database.
- Other duties as assigned by the department management.
- Some travel required to support sites across the LabCorp West Division or as required to meet business obligations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred, with 8+ years' of relevant experience
- Experience in preparing & deploying workstations, laptops, printers and other various IT equipment within established SOPs.
- Experience with installing & configuring appropriate software according to security and operational specifications.
- Experience with remote IT technical support teams and experience with vendors for installs/support.
- Strong preference for A+ certification, Security +, MCSE/MCP
- Experience with incident management in ServiceNow according to established SOP's and SOW's.
- Experience with writing knowledge based and how-to articles.
Pay Range: $54,912 to $104,504
Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
