Job Purpose

The Senior IT Systems Administrator is a pivotal role serving enterprise customers who require security assessments of their internal IT systems. The individual hired for this role will take the lead working with internal analysts and engineers to complete thorough assessments for each enterprise customer, outlining the priorities for vulnerability mitigation and ensuring each step is completed successfully. The Senior IT System Administrator is responsible for delivering strategic security initiatives to improve client security posture and processes. This individual must be able to communicate a range of technical to non-technical items and issues to management and customers in order to create an efficient action plan for remediation of all systems vulnerabilities.

The position is responsible for working with client IT teams in identifying, establishing, enhancing, and performing operational assessments of their systems, processes and tools. It requires significant cross-task management among internal VMaaS engineering, analyst and support teams. It is a perfect opportunity for a consummate multi-tasker!

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role at a senior level, with a strong focus on vulnerability mitigation and a Minimum of 5 Years of experience.

  • Ability to identify technical system issues, develop recommendations in consultation with CSW and enterprise client teams, then clearly articulate solutions, providing necessary training and oversight in their implementation.

  • Knowledge of enterprise Cisco System products.

  • Hands-on Experience with Firewall configuration.

  • Hands-on Experience with Network & Windows Server Configuration and troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS/Cisco environments.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic to complex technical issues.

  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (E.g.ZohoDesk)

  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and others

  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge in Compliance such as SOC2, ISO27001.

  • Knowledge, managing & troubleshooting multiple Cloud Environment.

  • Knowledge in Log Server and Hypervisor such as VMware, Virtual Box, Hyper-V, Citrix, Docker, Proxmox.

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field; Master’s Degree is ideal.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Additional certification in Windows Server (2019), ITILv4, CCNA, A+, N+ or similar technologies is a plus.

  • Experience working with enterprise clients is also a plus.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Become strategic leader for enterprise client teams to evaluate IT system vulnerabilities and create technical action plans designed to mitigate vulnerabilities for each client system.

  • Setup, Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including Cloud Environment, Active Directory and Network Configuration.

  • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed SLA’s.

  • Ensure all issues are properly logged.

  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time.

  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.

  • Willing to Work in any shift as per Business requirement.

Working conditions

Work is generally conducted indoors on carpeted floors, typically during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, as well as non-regular business hours.

Physical requirements

Stand or sit for extended periods of time.
