Senior IT Technical Engineer - EUC (End User Computing), Microsoft & Cloud Technologies

About the Role
As the Senior IT Technical Engineer, you're primarily responsible for supporting and maintaining systems within Morningstar's environment, including Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, Azure, NDES and Cloud Printing solutions. Morningstar's desktop environment is mixed Windows and macOS and comprises over 8000 workstations.
Job Responsibilities

• Packaging and deployment of applications via SCCM, Intune, Microsoft Store & JAMF
• Support SCCM environment, maintaining and deploying servers as needed
• Support Workstation patching process and procedure, including Ivanti 3rd party updates
• Create and maintain device configuration and policies in Intune
• Recognize areas of improvement through automation
• Act as the technical representative for Employee Technology in Global Projects
• Create and maintain documentation for configuration team
• Provide mentoring and coaching to team members
• Support Service Desk with in-depth knowledge of desktop/application troubleshooting
• Maintain first class customer service for our employees
• Escalate to management/senior engineers as required
• Ensure adherence to our change management procedures
• Manage Service Desk escalations and suggest corrective solutions for end user devices
• Attend daily huddles with global team
• Attend weekly meetings with Employee Technology Configuration Manager
• Work to meet defined team KPIs

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years' experience working with SCCM and Intune in a corporate organization of at least 3,000 employees
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, including registry and file management and working knowledge of macOS
• Experience with scripting languages including PowerShell and batch scripts
• Working knowledge and experience with various Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Group Policies
• Understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• General knowledge and understanding of ITSM/ITIL principles (certification not required)
• Knowledge of Operating System deployment and development
• Knowledge of JAMF and Windows Autopilot would be an advantage
• You must be able to demonstrate the ability to thrive within a fast paced, demanding support environment whilst maintaining high standards and a customer centric approach
• Excellent customer service skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills
• A high level of accountability and the ability to manage workload and work independently
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong team player
• Have a flexible attitude to meet tight deadlines
