Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team working for our customer who is a global financial institution and focused on extending risk rating applications within Wholesale Banking. In this role, you will work on backend development and data integration to support a global rollout of credit risk rating solutions. You will also contribute to the team’s goal of achieving full automation in software delivery.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Proven experience in building large-scale corporate systems
• Strong Java backend development skills (Java 8/11)
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (Confluent framework, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry)
• Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS (11g or higher) and Oracle SQL
• Linux scripting capabilities (Bash)
• Familiarity with data integration techniques
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Good English language skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Maven, CheckMarx, Git, and Ansible
• Experience with Kafka Sql (KSQL) and the Kafka Streaming API
• Familiarity with database change data capture methods
• Skills in visualization tools like Grafana, Elastic, and Kibana
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator 12c
• Background in complex, corporate environments, especially in financial or lending systems
• Knowledge of issue tracking tools like JIRA and ServiceNow
• Experience with collaboration tools like Confluence
