THE POSITION
Continental, recognized in Forbes Top 100 "America's Best Employers" List, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to help the implementation of the Tire division's next-generation National Account Retailer and Fleet Program initiative.
As the Senior Java Developer, you will play a critical role as part of the IT Fleet Solutions team responsible for the preparation of information systems proposals (including project schedule, data analysis, and system design). Supervision of external service partners during the implementation process, of such systems (including database design, screen construction, process coding, and documentation). This involves alignment and coordination with a global operating team.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• This role will primarily focus on back-end side system development.• Coding the implementation (in Java and Spring Boot) according to defined requirements.• Engage with Product and other teams to clarify, solidify, and define requirements and design.• Debugging and supporting the system as needed in development, UAT, and Production environments.• Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices.• Work closely with Business/Product management team to understand, gather technical requirement & designs the systems/APIs • Engage & Interact with Business, Project teams, and Senior Management teams during all phases of SDLC. • Develop and implement solid, scalable, and flexible solutions to support meeting clients' requirements & expectations. • Partner closely with Quality Assurance teams for identifying, triaging & resolution of defects or incidents during development, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production fixes. • Excellent Communication skills. Communicating & Reporting the project metrics, deliverables, and outcomes seamlessly to various project stakeholders consistent & regularly.

Job Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree + 5 years of experience or 10+ years professional experience with no degree• 5+ years of Java programming experience developing large-scale enterprise quality applications, be fluent in Core Java and Spring Boot, well understand microservices architecture.• Experience with RESTful API and JSON, service-oriented architecture, Microservices/Modular Technology• Advanced Core Java programming (Java 8+) and fluent Spring-Boot and other Spring frameworks• 4 plus years of experience conceptualizing, designing, and architecting the Webservices/Micro-Services. • Experience with PostgreSQL • Continental is able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Engineering.
