As a Barclays Senior Java Developer, you will be a member of the Trading Controls technology team which is accountable for building and enhancing the next generation of Trading Controls and Transaction Reporting engine. In your role, you get an opportunity to interact with both the business and end users to manage a book of work and create new solutions. This role will also provide third line support for applications.

What will you be doing?• Building, optimizing, and maintaining high volume, and low latency business critical exception management system• Building highly available, and performance-oriented Java Microservices based applications• Delivering business requirement end to end across various modules• Writing and maintaining unit tests actively• Integrating backend webservice calls• Troubleshooting issues and solving problems when needed

What we're looking for:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience• Extensive experience with design and development for Java based microservices applications• Expertise in Spring and Apache Camel frameworks, as well as Rest API development and testing• Hands-on experience with high volume and low latency business critical systems

Skills that will help you in the role:• Excellent communication and engagement skills• Knowledge of Elastic stack• Experience working in cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift• Knowledge of Teamcity/Jenkins build tools
