Senior Java Developer

Description

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Developer to develop customized product for our client teams. The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our current services and technologies.

Role and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable, high-performance software solutions• Utilize expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices to create robust and efficient applications• Design and optimize databases using SQL and NoSQL technologies for data storage and retrieval• Work with cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure to build scalable and secure applications• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Must have • 8-12+ years of experience with strong focus on Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices • Hands-on experience with Kafka for building scalable and event-driven architectures• Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP and Azure for deploying and managing applications• Ability to work in an agile development environment and deliver high-quality code within deadlines.• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
