For one of our clients in the Insurance segment, we are searching for a Senior Java Developer.

Responsibilities

- Develop high-quality software, design, and functional documentation

- Provide estimates for specific software feature implementation

- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle

- Build unit tests for your code

- Develop and maintain tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code that follows open sourcing standards

- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

- Communicate with distributed senior development team on daily basis

- Collaborate with internal teams, Scrum Master, Product Owner to fix and improve products

- Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies and standards.

- Salary for NY: 110000-140000 $ per year

Skills

Must have

Experience bracket - Below 10 years of exp in which he/she posses at least 7 years of relevant experience in Enterprise application development in Java/J2EE.

Primary SkillsJava/J2EE, JSP, Struts, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Rest APIs, IBM WebSphere Application Server.

Secondary SkillsExt JS, Blaze Rules Engine, Design Patterns, Experience in Agile methodology, Experience in AWS, Launch Pad etc.

Responsibilities:

Excellent knowledge of Core Java/J2EE.

Experience in leading dev team and translating business requirements into technical design / requirements.

Experience working with onsite/ offshore model.

Experience with REST API and web services and Should be efficient with Java J2EE and related technologies

Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles.

Should be able to quickly analyse production issues and do a quick turnaround .

Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM.

Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous

Deployment.

Should have worked in the distributed agile model and continuous integration.

The selected candidate should be able to work in EST time.

Need to spend his/her early morning time to do coordination with offshore time.

Having a experience in TIBCO BW 5/6 will be a plus - Good to have

Nice to have

Insurance domain experience.
