Join us as a Senior Systems Programmer in our Fund Accounting Systems team!

The Senior Systems Programmer (Fund Accounting Systems) acts as a mediator between technical and business user groups during the critical requirements phase of a development project. They are responsible for directing the day-to-day functions of the members of his/her team as well as technical responsibilities including designing codes and applications along with performing analysis for problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the new Fund Accounting system best solutions possible using Angular, Spring frameworks, on top of Java 8 and RESTful backend
• Manage the existing suite of applications across a variety of technical stacks
• Help with management/guidance for more junior team members
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, business partners, clients, and other systems areas to improve new or existing products, and create new ideas for improving the product suite

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience on a similar position
• Web development skills - experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (TypeScript, Angular, RxJS, CSS, SAAS)
• Strong experience in core Java 8
• Experience with Spring (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
• Strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• SQL - must be able to write simple to moderate complexity SQL queries
• Experience with ORM frameworks (JPA, Hibernate)
• Experience with testing frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, Spock
• Automated build platforms/continuous integration experience and knowledge (Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Gradle)
• Knowledge and applying TDD principles in practice
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot applications using logs (troubleshooting Java memory issues, analyzing java heap/thread dumps, troubleshooting application issues)
• Experience with Unix platforms
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Problem solving skills, able to determine upcoming risks & issues and address them
• Fluent English and good communication skills

Nice to have skills/exp.:

• Experience with message queue brokers (Kafka, WebSphere MQ, Oracle AQ)
• Experience with OpenShift
• Experience with Tomcat
• Experience with databases (Oracle)
• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium/WebDriver, JBehave)
• Experience with Apache Camel
• Understanding of basic principles of data modeling
