Senior Java Developer - Legal Technology

As a Software Engineer in Legal Technology, you will join a team of talented and highly motivated engineers who are passionate about software development and like to have fun. We implement solutions that are cloud-first, on the cutting edge of technology and serve the entire Legal community within JPMorgan Chase. Within Legal Technology, you will work in an agile, XP environment where we pair program and follow strict TDD principles. We are looking for engineers who will be responsible for designing, testing and implementing features and are involved in all phases of the application, including planning, development, deployment and SRE.
Legal Technology is a part of the Employee Experience and Corporate Technology (EECT) organization which aims to deliver best-in-class solutions for our corporate functionsincluding Human Resources, Legal, Audit, Tax and Robotics. Teams in EECT are aligned to these functions to meet evolving business and technology needs, and the firm's ever-expanding technology controls agenda. EECT also oversees efforts to build a seamless and unified digital interface across common employee-facing technologies, with the employee experience at the heart of these efforts.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years active Java, Angular/React experience
• 5-7 years Oracle and SQL database developer experience and database design preferred
• Fast learning, enjoy solving complex problems and creating simple solutions
• Enjoy improving productivity through strategic automation tools and quality through automated tests
• Proactively look to develop, implement and further best practices across the group.
• Works well with others and understands the importance of the team
• Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
• Awareness of the business and technology strategy
• Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
• T-Shaped/Broad skilled software development professional with deep skills in certain areas such as coding, but also skilled in other areas such as project management, testing and/or analysis
• Experience with Agile practices such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum or Kanban
