Job Description

• Joining the Emergency Call Handling team in Krakow, you will contribute to extending capabilities of our mission critical platform and enhancing the existing technologies we use.

• We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer with a strong DevOps background who is interested in building cloud-based solutions with a unique opportunity to build 99.999% available systems - yes, this is correct, what the team is building has a window of not being available for about 5 minutes a year. Tech stack:

Kubernetes/Docker, Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Quarkus, GitHub, Azure DevOps, ELK Stack + Prometheus/Grafana, Redis, Azure & AWS, SIP/RTP/WebRTC/MSRP , Gstreamer, RUST, Asterisk, Postgresql, NGINX, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Selenium/Playwright, Ansible, Cloud formation, Github actions, Jenkins

Basic Requirements

• Practical experience 5+ years with modern DevOps tooling (including CI/CD pipelines)

• 3+ years experience with Java

• Practical knowledge about microservices and REST API

• English language skills allowing for efficient communication with our peers and customers in North America

• Participates as a leader from the technical point of view. Focused not only on daily activities, but looking beyond helping to organize work and planning for the team. Engages himself in complex tasks and defining, maintaining architecture for the team. Works without supervision from other members of the team. Impact on the team is strong and visible, as well impact on the product and department. His activity should mostly impact project and department level.

Must have:

• Kubernetes

• Docker

• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure or private Cloud

• Practical knowledge of Ansible, Cloud formation or similar

• Java

• Automated testing experience

• experience

• Observability and monitoring experience

• Understanding of the following protocols

  • HTTP / REST

Could have:

• Experience in

  • RabbitMQ/AMQ, Kafka or similar

  • GStreamer 

  • Networking knowledge

  • SIP

  • RTP

  • WebRTC

  • MSRP
